Occasional child care

At YCC, we offer high quality, affordable occasional child care in a happy, safe and healthy environment for children aged from 6 months to 5 years. Our stimulating and inclusive programs allow children to participate in and enjoy a full range of age-appropriate activities. Staff are fully qualified and have many years of experience in the child care sector.

Special 3-year-old groups are designed to prepare children of this age for kindergarten and school. They provide opportunities for socialisation and aim to develop independence and self-reliance.

We encourage community involvement in our child care programs. If your child has a particular interest, let us know and we will try to incorporate their interests into our program. Or if you have any specific skills such as art, cooking, reading, music or more, please contact us – the children would love to have you visit us to share your knowledge.

Our child care meets all local, state and federal government regulations.

Costs

Fees per 5-hour session

Term booking: 1 session per week 1 child $33 (concession $28) per session

Casual booking 1 child $36 (concession $30) per session

3-year-old group: 2 sessions per week $235 (concession $198) per term

3-year-old group: 1 session per week $120 (concession $102) per term

How to book

To book a child care place you must telephone us on 9687 1560 to find out about current availability, download our Child care handbook then:

1. Download a Child care application form, type in your details to complete the form and fax, post or email it to us OR
2. Drop in to our office at 59 Francis Street, Yarraville.

Bookings for child care cannot be made online.

How to pay

Payment for your child care place must be made in advance and can be made in two equal payments for term bookings.

You can make your payments in a number of ways.

1. Online (telephone our office on 9687 1560 first)
2. By post (cheque or money order)
3. Over the phone (credit card)
4. In person at 59 Francis Street, Yarraville.

Kids' activities

YCC also offers a range of short courses for children, including creative dance, drama and cooking.
